Join us for our Workshop Series at Philadelphia Zoo! These workshops are opportunities for our guests to meet our experts and learn about a variety of wildlife and conservation topics. On each day of the series, there will be workshops at 9:30, 11:30, and 1:30 in KidZooU. Each session will last approximately 30 minutes and there will plenty of time to ask questions. Workshops are free and do not require pre-registration.

Saturday, July 22nd: Best Bets for Pets with Bradley Smith, Conservation Educator
Learn about how the pet trade impacts endangered species and get some tips on choosing the best pet for your home

Sunday, August 13th: Birdwatching with Ian Gereg, Curator of Birds

Monday, September 4th: Animal Behavior with Marieke Gartner, Animal Behavior and Wellbeing Researcher
Discover how the Zoo studies animal behavior and find out how we ensure our animals stay mentally healthy.

Monday, October 9th: Sustainable Sourcing with Emily Bryant, Sustainability Manager
Get an in-depth look at how the Zoo makes responsible decisions about where the food comes from for all of our 1,300 animals.

Saturday, November 18th: Bat Conservation with Kim Lengel, Vice President of Conservation and Education
