Conservation Stewards

Conservation Stewards provide interpretation and support for the Zoo’s Conservation & Education Department between April 15 and October 31. During all activities, Conservation Stewards will be sharing the Zoo’s message about conservation including using deforestation free palm oil and energy reduction. Successful volunteers will engage guests at the action step stations. These stations could include helping with crafts, assisting a mini-lesson or teaching children about an action they can do at home to help save wildlife.  Conservation Stewards may work alone or be paired with education staff and volunteers. Adults and teens over the age of 14 are welcome to apply.
