Guest Relations Team Member

Duties

Performs all vital functions of the Guest Relations Department, including but limited to, cashiering, attending the plaza, membership sales, attending the Swan Boats and attending the parking lots. All Guest Relations Attendants will provide guests with information in accordance with the Zoo’s goals, specifically: exceeding the expectations of the visitor by providing friendly, enthusiastic and mannerly services.
  • Answer questions and provide information to visitors in a manner that is welcoming and encourages repeat visits.
  • Handle complaints and resolve problems in a manner that is polite, helpful and accurate.
  • Possess knowledge of all Admissions, Attractions and Parking policies and procedures.
  • Possess knowledge of all Membership categories, benefits and programs.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the Zoo (directions, locations of amenities, and general animal collection); be able to provide visitors with travel directions to major roadways and other Philadelphia attractions.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills; ability to use a keyboard and mouse, and read a monitor.
  • Solid math background.
  • Ability to work accurately and cheerfully under pressure.
  • Excellent customer service skills; ability to communicate effectively with visitors, supervisors and co-workers.
  • Professional appearance and manner.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Availability

A flexible work schedule that will include weekend availability is required.
