Duties
T&T Camels, a vendor partner of The Philadelphia Zoo, is currently seeking seasonal Animal Attendants to work in their animal attractions. If you have experience with animals or would like to gain experience with animals, this is the perfect opportunity for you! You would have the opportunity to work within our Birds of Australia or our animal rides area (ponies, camels and draft horses.)T&T Camels will be looking for friendly, energetic individuals with exceptional customer service skills and a passion for animals!
Please note: Although the animal attractions are located at The Philadelphia Zoo, Animal Attendants are employed by T&T Camels.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with guests, supervisors, co-workers, etc.
- Strong guest relations and service excellence orientation. Ability to maintain composure and service standards under pressure.
- Ability to work independently with general supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Professional appearance and manner; friendly; well groomed.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include weekends and holidays.
- Experience working with animals is preferred.
- All applicants are subject to a criminal background check, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance and FBI Fingerprinting.
Availability
Open, full-time availability is required. Scheduling will include weekends and holidays. Applicants must be available to work up to 40 hours a week through the end of October.
