High School Graduates only please. If you are still in high school, please click here for information about our High School Internship program.
Our career internship program is one of the many ways the Philadelphia Zoo demonstrates a commitment to its mission of conservation, education, science and recreation. Through our internships, we provide practical, high-quality experiences that help you achieve your academic and professional goals. Recent college graduates and career changers are encouraged to apply. Please note that all internships are unpaid and the Zoo does not provide housing.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, we do not have application deadlines for our internships. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and positions are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
To apply, please submit a completed intern application, letter of interest stating which internship(s) you are applying for and why, resume, letter of recommendation and copy of your college transcripts (unofficial copies are acceptable). Please compile all the required documents and submit them as a complete packet to:

Interns whose permanent residence is outside Pennsylvania may also need to complete an FBI clearance including fingerprinting.
