Instructions for downloading wallpaper images
Internet Explorer users
- Click on the image you'd like to set as your wallpaper in the resolution that is appropriate for your screen.
- Allow the photo to fully load on this page.
- Right-click on the photo.
- Select "Set As Wallpaper" from the drop-down menu.
- Check desktop for new wallpaper. (You may need to restart your computer for wallpaper to be installed on your desktop.)
Netscape users
- Click on the image you'd like to set as your wallpaper in the resolution that is appropriate for your screen.
- Allow the photo to fully load on this page.
- Right-click on the photo.
- Select "Save Image As..." from the drop-down menu.
- Save the file to your hard drive.
- Right-click your desktop.
- Select "Properties."
- Under the Background tab, click "Browse..." to select the file you downloaded.
- Click "Apply."
- Click "OK."
- Check desktop for new wallpaper. (You may need to restart your computer for wallpaper to be installed on your desktop.)
Mac Users (OS X)
- Click on the image you'd like to set as your wallpaper in the resolution that is appropriate for your screen.
- Allow image to fully load on this page.
- Move the cursor over the image.
- Hold down the mouse button over the image and drag the image to your desktop.
- Open "System Preferences" and select "Desktop."
- Drag the image into desktop pictures window.
- Select the image as your desktop. (You may need to restart your computer for wallpaper to be installed on your desktop.)
Mac Users (OS 9.0)
- Click on the image you'd like to set as your wallpaper in the resolution that is appropriate for your screen.
- Allow photo to fully load on this page.
- Move the cursor over the photo.
- Hold down the mouse button until the drop-down menu appears.
- Choose "download image to disk" (save image to your Mac's hard drive).
- Open the control panel, click on "Appearance" and then select the Desktop tab.
- If there is a "remove picture" button, click it to remove the current desktop window. Then click "place picture."
- A dialog box will appear. Load new wallpaper from the location you selected to save the image on your computer. Press "Open."
- Choose "position automatically."
- Click "Set Desktop."
- Check desktop for new wallpaper. (You may need to restart your computer for wallpaper to be installed on your desktop.)
Windows users
- Click your right mouse button anywhere on your desktop that is not an active window.
- Select Properties from the drop-down list.
- You will see the Display Properties dialog box.
- Select the Settings tab.
- The slider in the Desktop Area will say 1024x768 or 800x600. That will indicate to you which screensaver and wallpaper resolution you should choose.
Mac users OS 8.0 and higher
- Exit all applications and choose "Control Panels/Monitors & Sound" from the Apple menu.
- The "Monitors & Sound" window will appear.
- Click the "Monitors" button.
- Color Depth and Resolution options will appear in the window.
- Your options will be 1024x768 or 800x600. That will indicate to you which screensaver and wallpaper resolution you should choose.
