Kids...Animals...Action
In 2012, the Philadelphia Zoo announced its 5-year commitment to saving orangutans from extinction. Children from across the region stepped up in support of this initiative and reached over 500,000 with an orangutan awareness campaign! From kindergarteners to Girl Scout cadettes, children of all ages have been engaged as orangutan advocates. You can join their efforts by logging on to the Zoo’s Unless Campaign.
This year, the Zoo has announced a multi-year commitment to addressing the impacts of climate change on wildlife. Kids heeded the Zoo’s challenge of "Saving Energy to Save Wildlife" and over 7,000 students from across the region implemented energy savings awareness and action. You can become part of the solution too.
