Guest Conduct Policy
The Philadelphia Zoo is devoted to creating a safe and inviting atmosphere that is family-friendly for all its members and guests. We cherish and embrace the strengths brought by diversity, ethnicity, age, culture, gender, personal values and beliefs, physical abilities, religion, and sexual orientation. Our commitment is to a world where all forms of life are valued and can flourish.
To ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for our team members, guests, and the wildlife in our care, we have established this guest code of conduct. We kindly ask that all visitors maintain family- friendly behavior while at the Philadelphia Zoo. All Philadelphia Zoo staff, guests, and animals deserve an environment that is free from abusive, harassing, or inappropriate conduct.
All individuals while on the grounds of the Philadelphia Zoo must adhere to the following rules and guidelines, as well as comply with local, state, and federal laws. The Philadelphia Zoo reserves the right to refuse admission, remove individuals or groups from the premises, and/or revoke Membership or visitation privileges without a refund for anyone who presents a risk to our animals, staff, vendors, guests, or any property belonging to the Philadelphia Zoo. This includes individuals who engage in verbal or physical harassment, use of profanities, engage in discriminatory or threatening behavior, whether in person or through phone calls, emails, social media posts, or other communication methods, or take actions that compromise the safety or enjoyment of the zoo for others. The Philadelphia Zoo’s code of conduct extends to both written and verbal interactions.
Philadelphia Zoo maintains the authority to prohibit any activities that it deems harmful or disruptive, at its sole discretion. The Zoo also reserves the right to deny entry, restrict access, or require any individual who is already on the premises to leave any part of its property or facilities without refund, liability, or compensation. This may occur for reasons such as failure to comply with these rules, or for unsafe, illegal, or inappropriate behavior, including, but not limited to, conduct that is disrespectful, disruptive, abusive, or violent.
Furthermore, this policy applies to individuals who do not follow instructions from team members intended to ensure safety, security, or order, or if we deem such actions necessary at our sole discretion.
Please be aware that policies may change, and all guests are required to adhere to the Zoo rules in effect on the day of their visit. We strive to keep our website and communication channels updated with any changes. Be sure to check for the most current information before your arrival.
