d/Deaf Community Day

Hosted by Temple University Communications Sciences department and Philadelphia Zoo.

We welcome the d/Deaf, hard of hearing and blind deaf community for an opportunity to visit the Zoo with support of sensory enhancing activations and ASL interpreters in various locations.

Experienced, certified ASL interpreters will be provided at all Wildlife Chats, on site throughout campus and several animal interaction stations. Each building will feature a high sensory, tactile experience featuring several unique species and conservation stories. All activities and resources are included in general admission.
