Teddy Bear Picnic
Join us at the Zoo for a bear-y special picnic!
You and your teddy bear are invited to a picnic with the Berenstain Bears!
You’ll have a chance to meet the Berenstain family, design your teddy bear’s very own bandana, and participate in a Scavenbear Hunt with a paw-some prize! Take your teddy bear to the Teddy Bear Clinic for a check-up with Philadelphia Zoo Veterinary Staff and choose from adorable bear-themed face paint and caricature designs. Enjoy live music, play lawn games for all ages, and learn about the bears that call Philadelphia Zoo home. Teddy bears – and other stuffed friends – receive free admission to the Zoo.
Exclusive picnic baskets are available for pre-order only! With only two hundred available, your picnic basket includes:
- Limited-edition copy of the beloved book The Berenstain Bears: Welcome to Bear Country featuring a sticker made specially for Philadelphia Zoo
- Custom Philadelphia Zoo-branded picnic blanket
- Teddy Bear Bandana to color for your stuffed friend – one per child
- 15% off of a stuffed friend of your choice at any Zoo retail location – one per child
- Bear Paw Pass to hop in the fast lane to meet the Berenstain family
- Handwoven picnic basket to keep
- Option to add on a picnic lunch for up to six (6) guests featuring gourmet sandwiches of your choice, chips, cookies, fruit salad, and water

Please note, Zoo Admission or a Zoo Membership is needed to attend Teddy Bear Picnic. With the purchase of a picnic basket, a picnic lunch and discounted admission tickets are available to add on at checkout (limit of six guests per basket). Your entire party must reserve in the same order to be included in the same basket.
Impala Lawn is open to all Zoo guests. Berenstain Bear Meet-and-Greet, Scavenbear Hunt, Teddy Bear Clinic, lawn games, and educational activities are included with Zoo admission. Concessions, bandanas, face painting, caricatures, and merchandise are available for purchase at Teddy Bear Picnic. Picnic baskets are available for pre-sale only.
