Philadelphia Zoo Partners with Nickelodeon and Paramount+ to Bring Dora-Inspired Interactive Activities to Visitors this Summer!

Philadelphia ZOO is partnering with Nickelodeon and Paramount+ to celebrate beloved Latina heroine Dora in the milestone 25th anniversary of the franchise!

Beginning June 27, Philadelphia Zoo will feature interactive activities for kids and families inspired by the new live-action movie Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado. From June 27 through July 6, all children will have the opportunity to engage in the “Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado” treasure hunt. Treasure map activity sheets will be distributed at the main entrance, and children can participate by solving riddles to discover characters from the show and their associated animal facts. When guests have solved all of the clues, they can return to the main entrance to claim a prize (while supplies last)!

“We are always looking for unique ways to connect people with animals that create lifelong memories,” said Vice President of Marketing and Communications Patrick McMaster. “We know some of those experiences include beloved childhood characters, like one of my daughter’s favorites Dora the Explorer. We hope families come out and enjoy the time they spend together going on this engaging treasure hunt through our 42-acre gardens.”

In this original feature-length live-action family movie, Dora, Diego and their new friends, Naiya and Sonny, trek through perilous dangers of the Amazonian Jungle in search of the ancient treasure of Sol Dorado to keep this powerful treasure out of enemy hands. The brand-new movie Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado premieres July 2 on Nickelodeon and streams the same day on Paramount+.
